Andrew Charlton-Perez is Head of School of Mathematical, Computational and Physical Sciences and Professor of Meteorology at the University of Reading
He has more recently played a significant role in advancing sustainability and climate education in all phases of education in the UK. He was the co-lead of the recent University of Reading climate-education summit and resulting national climate education action plan which informed the 2022 Department for Education, Sustainability and Climate Change strategy. He is the co-designer and lead of the national climate ambassador programme with more than 150 ambassadors working nationwide to improve climate action planning in school and colleges. He continues to work closely with government as part of the strategic advisory group of the DfE Sustainability and Climate Change strategy and a member of the Green Jobs Delivery Group.
